Each Lesson in the Student’s Book is a double-page spread that can be completed within the standard 90-120 minutes of classroom time. The Student’s Book contains a comprehensive Workbook section: a vast resource of further exercises in the areas of grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, speaking and writing that extend from the contents of each lesson. The course book also contains a Ready for the Exams! component, which provides the student with on-topic pages of exercises dedicated to the major competitive exams that they may wish to take in the future. But that’s not all. Students also have an invaluable resource in the Speaking and Writing Microskills that are entirely devoted to the development of a particular productive skill, either writing or speaking, by focusing on tweaking specific areas that students often find difficult. For example, ways students can write about their work experience in a job application if they have never worked, or how to master asking people questions using conditional forms. And of course, if anyone needs to clarify grammar points, Elevate! features a supplementary Grammar Bank section for each Lesson.
Whether you are a student or a teacher, we hope that you can tuck this book under your arm and take it with you to class, confident that it will grab your attention and point you in the right direction, so that you can ELEVATE your English!
